At the start of the Roux trail this morning. About a 600m descent on fine trail into Samoens. It wasn't totally dry and some sections were buried deep with leaves. Good to get warmed up on anyway. Followed this by a very enjoyable road climb ;0) up the Joux Plane in mid-afternoon heat. I resisted the Bourgeoise descent trail and amused myself instead with VTT trail #49 down into Verchaix. Top section of this is quite intense but the lower section was just fire road.Sunday, May 13, 2007
