Le Grenairon

If you want a cardiac arrest on a bike then riding/pushing up to Hotel du Buet is the closest you'll come to achieving it. The 1000m climb took me 2hrs. Normally I'd re-fuel with Weiss bier but since it's France I had to make do with Kronenbourg. The ascent pain turned out to be worth it because the descent trail is one of the finest known to mankind. Don't think I've ever ridden so many switch backs in one session. Great for nose wheely practice. Pretty quiet too, since there's no chair lift up there I had the whole trail to myself. Never ceases to amaze me that 10km away there's about 1000 riders whizzing down the sanitized trails of Les Gets and Morzine but here there's nobody else riding. But I wasn't complaining.
